When school ends, the science adventure begins! Join us for Camp Discovery as we travel beyond the classroom to explore and engage in fun, hands-on science. Discovery Cube is offering week-long camps where young scientists will find themselves immersed in experiments, science challenges, and group activities that will make them laugh, think, and discover new concepts. Each themed camp encourages students to be curious about the world around them and offers guidance for them to explore and understand science concepts.

Each themed camp is one week long, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, with an early pick-up option for K-2 camps at 2:00 pm. *NO CAMP on Friday, July 4.

Extreme Animals

Get ready to go wild at Discovery Cube’s Extreme Animals camp! Designed for children in grades K-2, this exciting program will take young explorers on a journey through the animal kingdom to uncover the secrets of nature’s most fascinating creatures. From animals that survive the coldest climates to those that soar high in the skies, campers will learn all about extreme habitats, incredible adaptations, and mind-blowing behaviors through hands-on activities, interactive games, creative crafts, and live animal demonstrations.

Member Cost: $350 ($280 for shortened week of 6/30)

  • Early Pick-up option (2:00 pm pick-up) = $250 ($200 for shortened week of 6/30)

Non-Member Cost: $385 ($308 for shortened week of 6/30)

  • STEAM-Based Adventures – Build habitats, investigate animal tracks, and create models.

Jr. Bot Lab

Get ready for a summer of coding, creativity, and fun in Discovery Cube’s Jr. Bot Lab! Designed especially for younger bot enthusiasts, this camp introduces young learners to the exciting world of robotics through hands-on activities, interactive play, and teamwork. With engaging challenges and fun projects, campers will spark a love for technology while building confidence and problem-solving skills.

Cosmic Explorers

Blast off into an out-of-this world adventure at Discovery Cube’s Cosmic Explorers camp. Designed for students in grades 3-5, this exciting program will transport young space enthusiasts on a journey through the universe. From uncovering the mysteries of the planets to designing their own rocket, campers will explore the wonders of astronomy, engineering, and planetary science through hands-on activities and interactive challenges.

Bot Lab

Get ready for an exciting summer of discovery, innovation, and robots at Discovery Cube’s Bot Lab! Perfect for tech-savvy adventurers eager to dive into the exciting world of coding and robotics. Through hands-on activities, teamwork, and creative challenges, students will build essential skills in programming and problem-solving. Campers will even work together to build a bot!

Battle Zone: Build Your Bot!

 

Get ready for an action-packed week of creativity, engineering, and competition at Battle Zone: Build Your Bot! In this exciting, hands-on camp, students will dive into the world of robotics by building their very own Turnabot—a fun, battle-ready robot designed for ultimate showdown action!

Throughout the week, campers will work in teams, learning the fundamentals of engineering, design, and programming as they bring their robots to life. With expert guidance, they’ll assemble their bots using motors, sensors, and other cool tech components, all while developing problem-solving skills and creativity.

Once their bots are built and ready for action, it’s time for the Turnabot Tournament! Campers will put their creations to the test in thrilling battles, where they’ll strategize, maneuver, and watch their bots in action.

Perfect for young engineers, tech enthusiasts, and competitive spirits, Battle Zone: Build Your Bot! is the ultimate summer camp experience for kids who love to build, create, and compete!

Turnabout Camp is Monday through Friday from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm.

Member Cost: $500 (includes take home robot kit, radio, and charger)

Non-Member Cost: $550 (includes take home robot kit, radio, and charger)

Prepare Your Camper

Answer:

Please prepare your child for their day at camp by packing them a water bottle, a healthy lunch, and 1-2 snacks packed separately from their lunch.

We don’t allow campers to purchase their own lunch at Discovery Cube for safety reasons.

However, our Los Angeles location offers a pre-order lunch program. You can pre-order your lunch at the same time you complete your camp registration.

Answer:

Please make sure your child is wearing clothing that can (and is likely to) get dirty, comfortable close-toed shoes, and a jacket (some of the camp rooms can get cold). We will provide your campers with a camp shirt on their first day. We suggest they wear their camp shirt throughout the week, but this is optional.

Drop-off is from 8:55am – 9:05am*. If you will be dropping off your child late, please call (OC: 714-542-2823, LA: 818-686-2823) or email to let us know you will be late.

*Monday drop-offs may take longer, as we need to verify pick-up information for the week. Please be patient as we prepare all campers and their families for a wonderful camp experience.

Answer:

Pick-up is promptly at 4:00 pm* (or 2:00 pm for early pick-up option available for K-2 camps). If you need to pick up your camper earlier than 3:45 pm, please let us know at drop-off or call or email us to let us know what time you will need to pick up your child. If you arrive for pick-up in between 3:45 pm and 4:00 pm, you will need to wait until 4:00 pm to pick up your child.

Battle Zone pick-up is promptly at 12:00 pm.

*All adults will be asked to show a photo ID to pick up a camper, even if you are the same adult that dropped them off.

Once you have registered for camp, check your email for information/updates from Discovery Cube. These emails will contain extra information specific to the camp you have registered for and a link to CampDoc to provide additional safety information for your child. This information must be provided AT LEAST a week prior to the start of your child’s first day of camp.

The grade level ranges set for each camp are chosen specifically based on the content for each camp. We highly recommend only signing up your child for a camp that is within their corresponding grade level.

Children enrolled in Camp Discovery get at least 1 hour of dedicated floor exploration time in the Discovery Cube each day of camp. Campers enrolled in Battle Zone camp will not have floor exploration time due to the shortened camp day.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your child’s camp session, please call customer service at (714) 913-5040 or email groupsales@discoverycube.org. If you cancel within 2 weeks of your child’s first day of camp, you will be charged a $40 cancellation fee.

Discovery Cube has a zero-tolerance approach to bullying. We ask parents to go over with their camper(s) and sign the Discovery Cube Camper Behavior Contract during the camp registration process to prevent these incidents from occurring. Our staff are also trained in handling conflicts between campers and methods in preventing bullying. Please read the Discovery Cube Camper Behavior Contract for more information.
